The Central Coventry Fire District has filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy. The District had overestimated its revenues by 15% for two consecutive years resulting in a $1.6 million deficit. The District has been negotiating with the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3372 for about a year and a half.
