Standard & Poor’s Withdraws the Rating from the Pennsylvania School District Aid Intercept Program

News reports indicate that Standard & Poor’s has withdrawn its rating from Pennsylvania’s school district aid intercept program (A rated prior to this action).  News reports indicate that the budget impasse within the State is the reason for the ratings action.  The logic is that without a State budget there are no funds flowing to the school district’s thus no funds to intercept and thus no enhancement program.
