S&P Global and Fitch have cut the rating for the state of Connecticut to AA- from AA. The rating agencies focused on the state’s “reduced budgetary flexibility.”
Fitch said Connecticut’s debt burden and unfunded pension liabilities “are among the highest in the U.S.”
